Gokshura - According to Ayurveda, it is used in diseases of the genital-urinary system, calculous infections, rheumatism, and impotence.

Guduchi - According to Ayurveda, Guduchi is a bitter tonic. The entire plant is regarded as a valuable alterative and stimulant. It is helpful in eye conditions, as a tissue builder, helps development of intelligence, and retains youth by helping prevent premature aging.

Guggulu - According to Ayurveda, it is used in rheumatism, arthritis, gout, nervous disorders, debility, obesity, bronchitis, whooping cough, skin diseases, and ulcers. Modern medical researchers have found that guggulu is capable of lowering cholesterol levels in the blood, and keeping them low for up to three months after discontinuing use of the herb.

Haritaki - Historical Ayurvedic uses suggest Haritaki to be used in cough conditions, asthma, abdominal distention, tumors, heart disease, skin disease, and itching.

Jatamansi - According to Ayurveda, this herb is wonderful for a nerve stimulant and promotes appetite. The root is bitter and aromatic.

Jiwanti - According to Ayurveda, it is a tonic given for weakness, debility and similar conditions.

Kachnar - Historical Ayurvedic uses suggest that a gargle made with Acacia bark is a remedy for salivation and sore throat. A paste made of the bark together with dried ginger is also applied to scrofulus tumors. A decoction of the bark is a useful wash in ulcers and skin diseases, and a remedy for diarrhea.

Kapi Kacchu - According to Ayurveda, the seeds are astringent, anthelmintic, nervine tonic, aphrodisiac. A vinous infusion of seeds is good remedy for dropsy.

Kutaj - According to Ayurveda, this herb is antidysenteric, bitter, stomachic, antipyretic, and anthelmintic.

Kutki - This plant is bitter, stomachic, and a laxative. It is now widely being used in liver dysfunctions.

Kanta Kari - According to Ayurveda, this herb is used in humoral asthma, cough, stone in the bladder, and a general low vitality of the system.

Licorice Root - According to Ayurveda, it is useful as a suppressant in inflammatory affection or irritable conditions of the bronchial tubes.

Chinese Licorice root, or Glycyhrrhiza, is one of the greatest herbs known to mankind. Licorice root builds energy and is an excellent digestive tonic. It is the most broad spectrum natural detoxifying agent known, ridding the body of over 1200 known toxins without any distressful side-effects. It also helps regulate the blood sugar level, helping counteract hypoglycemia, a very common imbalance. Licorice root also provides basic nutrients to the adrenal glands. Licorice helps build and strengthen muscle, and it is a natural muscle relaxer. It is very sweet and adds a delicious flavor to herbal teas. Licorice is included in most Chinese herbal teas and formulations because it is said to harmonize all the ingredients in an herbal formula. Licorice root is very powerful and should be used in small quantities.

Manjistha - According to Ayurveda, Manjistha is probably the best alterative or blood-purifying herb in Ayurveda. It cools and detoxifies the blood, dissolves obstructions in blood flow, and removes stagnant blood.

Musta - According to Ayurveda, it is commonly used for intestinal disorders and such related conditions.

Nageshkar - According to Ayurveda, Nageshkar is used in conditions of excess thirst, irritability of the stomach, and excessive perspiration.
